Overview
A successful construction firm found that through their quality of work and strong working relationship with a local architect, their client base was growing at a rapid rate. The company needed to find a way to grow just as quick in order to meet demand – that’s where we came in.
About the company
Specialising in house extensions, this construction firm found themselves working regularly with a local architect. With a high standard of workmanship and efficiency, they have become the architects recommended construction firm for his clients to use.
The challenge
With more of the architect’s clients getting in touch and word-of-mouth working a treat, the construction firm started to see their projected workload as unmanageable. They didn’t have enough workers or tools and were in danger of having to turn down good, profitable contracts.
We sat down with the director of the firm and looked at the financial viability of brining on new team members and purchasing a van. The potential profit was there, and it was the move the firm needed to make, but they needed a way to finance the business growth.
“The answer sounded simple, but the problem was the short-term issue of funding.”
– Ben, Case Manager
How we helped
For the director of the construction firm, the pressure was off. We took the reins and managed the submission of a funding application which was successful. With this funding in place, the firm could arrange to have a new team working on new projects in a matter of weeks.
“Within 10 days of first contact [with the firm], we managed to plan and execute a funding application.”
– Ben, Case Manager
The result
The construction firm were free to go ahead and accept new clients and continue to grow their company to meet demand.
“Not only are we able to add growth to the business, but we are able to do so in a way that is seamless and upholds our reputation. The ability to employ additional staff is always positive, not only for us but for the wider community.”
– The client, Director
